December
Brayden's school teacher took this photo and I absolutely fell in love with it! So cute :-)
It's off to a slow start here at the Rye house. I am hoping to knock out several cookies this weekend and my nut rolls. Also I plan on making my ornaments with Brayden. I am hoping this weekend is a much better one and really low key. We have no plans that take us out of the house so I am looking for a pajama party all weekend! I may run out tonight and rent a few movies for Brayden and some for daddy and I as well but that would be the extent of it.
I have started watching Season 1 of Fringe and I am addicted!! I am hoping I can rent the season at the movie place.
Hope everyones December is going well <3

Christmas Baking
I LOVE to bake for Christmas!!! So I am going over my list of cookies and etc. that I will be making this year. Here it goes:
Chocolate Chip
Peanut Butter
Almond Spritz
Sugar Cookie Cutouts
Oatmeal Raisin
Snickerdoodle
Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip
Pecan Tarts
Thumbprints
Nut Rolls
Chocolate Fudge
Peanut Butter Fudge
Glazed Pecans
Drop Sugar Cookies
I can't wait to get started! I usually decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving but I will not be in town. We are meeting Rick's parents for our Christmas visit since they live in Canada and neither of us get to travel all that often. So, I'll have to decorate the weekend after :-( OR...maybe if I can get the family motivated a few week nights we can do a little each time :-)
LOVE THE HOLIDAYS!!!

Halloween
Well, we made it through Halloween and boy did I have a blast! We walked around with Brayden's friend Jack and his lovely parents. We walked in their neighborhood, which is the same one my parents live in and it's actually perfect for Brayden. He completely impressed me, I'll admit for 2 years of age I didn't have high hopes. I thought for sure since I couldn't even get a costume on him that it would be like pulling teeth. He walked right up, either knocked on the door or rang the doorbell. That was as far as he did the rest was him just handing his pumpkin up or reaching in and helping himself. LOL. Not even a Thank You or a Happy Halloween.
He also had a Halloween Party at school the same day and wouldn't get his costume on there but he sure did want his candy! LOL
Jail Bird!!

Transition Lifestyle
Okay, I am not one to try all these different diet plans, I did last spring join Weight Watchers. I was having great success but then my parents moved down and it took me way off track. I totally gave up in trying anymore because mom was cooking fabulous dinners and etc. As you may all know moms cooking is the best.
I recently took a class called Transition Lifestyle. It's an amazing thing. One that I could totally see how it works. It says it all in its name. It just making changes in your lifestyle to how you are eating. I have joined this ladies group, it's 6 week program. Basically you eat low-glycemic meals cut bad sugars. I am held accountable because they do a weigh in and measurments and body comp too. This is something I need to do. Make changes in my eating habits. I'll meet with her once a week for 6 weeks and then after the 6 week she'll meet with me once a month to still be acountable for myseld and track my progress. The 1st week you eat plenty of fruits and veggies, drink tea because its a detox week. Then from there you eat according to the book they give you that shows you what foods are low glycemic. I also have been turned on to Agave - which is a sweetner. Much better for you than the sugars and sweeteners out there. I'll try to document my progress weekly after I have my weekly meetings. I hope this makes the positive changes I am looking for in my life.
Wish me luck!!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins and more Pumpkins!
I LOVE Pumpkins!!! This past weekend we had our family friends in for a visit on Saturday. Sunday was a lay low kinda day. We ended up taking a ride to a side of the road pumpkin patch so that daddy and I could pick out our pumpkins. Brayden had already gotten his from Kersey Valley Maise Adventure but we still needed ours. So one night this week we will sit down together and carve them. Other than that on Sunday we didn't do too much. I did some baking. Saturday morning I made my lovely Pumpkin Rolls and Sunday I made Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. They were delish!! I also go all the ingredients to make my Lasagna Soup again!! I enjoyed not doing much this weekend. I am thinking this coming weekend will be the same as well. Family friends visiting Friday night and laying low Saturday and Sunday. My house is nice and clean. Most I'll have to do is laundry and maybe run the vacuum again. Enjoy the pictures of Brayden at the patch! Scrapbook too!!! Have books I need to finish!!!

Currently
Loving: The Fall time weather, the leaves changing, the smell of my Pumpkin Spice glade plug-ins, my Family.
Reading: Confessions of a Scary Mommy by: Jill Smokler - Laugh Out Loud funny, great read, highly recommend!! Getting ready to start Fifty Shades of Grey. (Yes I broke down and bought it, figured I'd give it a whirl)

Anticipating: Halloween, taking Brayden trick or treating for the 1st time ever. Hoping he'll enjoy dressing up and getting candy!! Our family friends are visiting this Saturday and then another the following Saturday, carving our pumpkins, making my pumpkin rolls.
Listening to: The only thing I listen to is Katie and Jared in the Morning on 1075KZL and then at work I play No Shoes Radio by Kenny Chesney.
Planning: Christmas gifts already. Almost done shopping for Brayden and a few others are finished. Only a few more to go!
Working On: Trying to finish my parents photo album of Brayden's 1st year.
Wishing: For a change in my life that MAY be happening. I'll be praying it pulls through. If it does it's an awesome change and will change my life for the good!! Please pray for me as well. Thank You!!!

Pinterst Recipes
Last week and this weekend I made a few recipes from my pins on Pinterest. First I made Pumpkin Cake....better than cake. It was a smash hit! (Sorry, no photo) Then I made, Pumpkin Fudge, another hit!
This fudge was super simple! I left out the Nutella, but it's swirled with marshmallow fluff and like I said it was a huge hit. It's simply made with Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses!
Lastly I made Lasagna Soup which I absolutely fell in love with! It's the perfect fall/winter soup. It was easy as well and I did make some substitutes but nothing major. You can find all of these under my Pinterest Boards. Click any of these...(cake), (fudge), (lasagna soup).
I promise you, you won't go wrong with any of these! I should have taken pictures but I'll be making them again soon so I'll be sure to add pictures then and do another food update!
That's the 1st time I tried to add links so I hope they work for you :-)
